During an outbreak of tornadoes across central Iowa, a supercell near Jewell and Stanhope Iowa produced a strong, long-lived tornado that remained over cornfields for most of its life, dodge structures and a couple communities in the area. A relatively harmless, photogenic, and beautifully backlit tornado threw corn in all directions.
