This tornado began well southwest of Carbon, Iowa on May 21st, 2024 where it reached EF-3 intensity. The tornado began its dissipation stage well behind the storm and became an incredible, fully condensed, tube tornado backlit by the afternoon sunlight. One of many tornadoes during the regional tornado outbreak on this day.
